To celebrate 2019’s National Poetry Day and pay homage to our own busy bees, we would like to share an extract from Angela Wybrow’s beautiful poem Bees.

Bees
Bees are messengers from up above:
Filled with goodness and with love.
Unlike wasps, they mean us no harm:
They are more friendly and have charm.
On fine, silvery wings, the bees take flight,
When the sun’s warm rays are shining bright.
They collect up the pollen in their sacs,
Then, to their hives, they take it back.

Why not have a go at writing your own bee poem today and sharing it with us below.
Here at Story Buzz we would like to say a huge congratulations to Paul for graduating this weekend. His dedication, hard work and passion will not only be to his benefit, but his children’s and the students he teaches. When children see adults commit to long term goals and work hard to achieve them, they too instil these values and naturally develop a growth mindset. Paul has shown to those looking to him as a role model, that you can achieve your goals and that learning is not limited to childhood, but can be realised at any age.
Learning is a lifelong endeavour and with each new art mastered we add another chapter to our story.

Learning is a family affair and could not be achieved to this level of success without the support of those closest to us. This achievement also belongs to Jesie, Paul’s wonderful wife, for her support and encouragement.
Congratulations Paul and Jesie, have a fantastic time celebrating this great achievement and enjoy a well-deserved rest!
They have arrived! The first batch of wonderful letters from the children in Standard 4 in Malawi. Thank you so much to all the children who have taken part and we will get busy here in the UK writing replies.
